Daniel Freeman explores delusions in a 10-part series called a A History of Delusions on BBC Radio 4. Delusions are often difficult to define and understand, what better way to understand delusions than by listening to people who have experienced them first-hand. Delusions are often seen as a belief that are false but yet so real and true to the person experiencing them.

In each episode someone describes their own history of a delusion. Throughout the series we hear from people who believe people are conspiring against them, that they are dead, their mind is being read and many other delusions.

In the next episode we hear from Toby, who volunteered to share his own experience of a paranoid delusion, and the isolation that takes hold as a consequence.

Next episode airs Friday the 7th of December 2018
